Not sure what is just behind the tail of one meerkat but it is a bit distracting.

Would have been nice if the background was purely trees and not part roof. I know how hard this can be having tried it at Twycross, you either end up with their hut or a bit of wall in the shot, unless you lower the camera slightly into the enclosure.

Captured a good pose though.

Yes, a good pose there, but a few little distractions which take away from the meercats themselves. The brown thing on the bottom right, for example - you could probably do away with that by cloning in PS.
The low viewpoint is good in some ways, but you can't see much of their faces, which is a shame.
It looks like the light was quite good - they're obviously taking in some sun!
Hope that is of interest

Thanks all - Cheryl im afraid im not very good with cloning stuff out - ends up a mess so i mostly leave images alone other than unsharp mask or odd changes to contrast/levels if needed - your right about the background - hadnt noticed that before - ill have a play in PS - thanks all F

I like it as it is. Good natural shot, well exposed too as it looks like bright sunshine which can cause havoc with a shot (I know it well!). The only 'cat face you can't see is the one with it's head back. Smile Cute and amusing shot. Nice work.

Cheers

Have taken the liberty of doing a very quick mod for you, hope you don't mind.

They are such a good photogenic subject and you have caught them just right. The light catches the fur beautifully.Nice work.

I like these creatures, such characters.

I agree with some points raised but think it's a fine shot all the same.
