Caerlaverock 3

By woolybill1
Third of four views of this unique triangular-plan castle in Dumfriesshire. Here we look across the central courtyard from ground level.

Thanks for the great reception accorded to Caerlaverock 2, and to Oliver, Joline and Arne for their user awards. Greatly appreciated Smile

Another great view point, Bill. I really like the peeping around the corner touch to this one. The perfect aperture too.

And a very BIG thank you for your most prestigious award this morning, so very much appreciated.

Excellent uprights Bill, never easy with an old sagging building.
Not enough people take proper care with verticals and perspective.

Ii must have been a wonderful residence when completed. Quite splendid lintels above the doors & windows.
Mono suits thus subject.

Really nice composition. Love the tones and the way they are broken up by the path.

A good strong composition here, and the verticals looking more vertical than my Holy Trinity Church in York! 👍

You have chosen the right right-angle for this image, Bill. Or is this a cute acute angle?

Nicely composed and it works well in mono,Biil.
What I like about this image are the angles and shapes itís a very gritty image as the castle itself is somewhat somber built to with stand the test of time and to have survived thus far is pretty good going.

Superb
