Caerlaverock 4

By woolybill1
Last of four views of this unique triangular-plan castle in Dumfriesshire. Here we look from the south, more or less, across the moat; the rudimentary path leads in the direction of the earlier castle site abandoned as the waters of the Solway Firth came a little too close.

I shan't be uploading again for another week or so but may pop in to add the occasional vote now and then. Meanwhile, thanks to everyone who has visited my portfolio in recent weeks Smile

A very moody looking sky, which suits the subject well 👍 A fine end to this series, Bill, worthy of my Award 🏆

Quite an edifice enhanced with the mono treatment. I have never seen it depicted without it being surrounded by water so a low viewpoint has given a different view.

Brooding sky and old ruins - had to be north of the border.

Moody and magnificent Bill, must have been very impressive
in its day. Nice angle of attack here and the mono treatment
suits it well. Very nice series.
