Calder and Hebble Navigation 2: ‘Picnic’

No, I didn't have a picnic! It's the name of the next narrowboat I came across on my canal walk last week. The lead, V1 & V2 were taken at the wider end of the zoom, with V4 looking towards the back end – or I should say, stern! – and at 200mm.
I didn't just take canal boats that day, only a couple more to follow!

Some very attractive pictures, Trev, documenting what always looks a gentler, more thoughtful way of life, typified by the flower displays on the roof and the self sufficiency of the solar panels, seen well in version two.

One of my dream holidays was to travel the canals of France for as long as we felt like it, with no schedule to keep...I guess it won't happen now...

Such a lovely boat and great captures of it Trev. I think it takes confidence to sell up and choose a life afloat, lovely dream though!
