Calder and Hebble Navigation 5

By TrevBatWCC
Not got around to uploading for nearly a fortnight, been rather busy, so thought it was time to get back to my canal walk last month! The canal takes a sharp turn to the right from the view in my upload on the 16th September. Just before where the canal ends and rejoins the River Calder is a footbridge, and the lead image was taken from on the bridge and looking back from where I'd walked. V1 is from the same spot but zoomed in. The canal widens out just beyond the canal lock gate, and I think this is so boats can moor up there without obstructing other boats passing through. V2 was taken a few minutes earlier and is looking towards the bridge.

Many thanks to Malc (saltireblue), Diane (Fefe) and Ju (JuBarney) for their User Awards on my previous upload, Live Ade 2 , most appreciated 🏆👍

Raw images processed in Nikon Capture NX-D, tweaked in Nik Collection's plugins and Photoshop Elements 2020.

Thanks again to everyone for your vote & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging 😃👍

Love to read the write-ups about these old waterways, Trev, a great set of images. The modern buildings look rather out of place. Always good to see your new uploads 👌

Lovely set Trev. Looks like a nice walk along the tow path and I especially like the lead where the canal basin is framed by the railings.

Nice group of images here Trevor, always good to see some of the old transport routes, now back in good condition.
Fits well with your other pictures from the canals around.
