Thought I'd take the Big Black Camera walkies whilst we still had some warm sunny weather and before the forecasted rain came! At just 1 km down the road from home, is this short Calder and Hebble Navigation canal (720 metres total length, give or take a few centimetres!). The River Calder takes a sharp U-turn around where the Hepworth Gallery Wakefield is located and there is a weir alongside, so the canal bypasses the weir, thus allowing boats through.
These are the first two images I took along my walk. The version was taken a minute or two before the lead image.

Thanks again to everyone for your vote & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging 😃👍
