Callander girls

By adrian_w
We went to the formal opening of the Community Friendship Garden in Callendar yesterday as I was one of the volunteers who built the drystone wall in the background.
After a series of speeches from various dignitaries & worthies, representatives of different community groups were invited to remove the laid out road cones to reveal engraved plaques bearing the logos of the groups. These 2 young ladies represented the Youth Fellowship group.
Part of the opening ceremony was the recital of a poem by a local poet. (V2)
V3 &V4 show a couple of the volunteers who organised the building of the garden, which has been developed on the site of the old toilet block next to the Police Station.
V5 is one of t dignitaries.
V6 is the poet, with a local inhabitant and the Community policewoman.
