Have you ever noticed how time has a way of smoothing out the bumps in life? Enabling gentle adjustment from the sometimes jarred edges of a lived experience, to the ever distant memories of past experiences. I am not saying that exceptions don't exist, but that such occurrences are by their exceptional nature, rare. I have often thought that long exposure photography can act as a visual metaphor for this, and (once again) this is what I have tried to accomplish here. This is a 110seconds of the ravages of Storm Brian as it battered the costal defences of New Brighton yesterday - time induced calm in the midst of a storm.
Best wishes,
Adam
