This is a lovely image Lory, better still when viewed large. The lead and V2 are my favourites. Also, a very interesting and informative narrative.

Awesome camera Lori! This one, especially the glass of the lenses, would put many modern cameras to shame! Definitely colour for me, showing the rich mahogany wood and bright brass. Excellent image, a spring leaf shutter was state of the art for that early period 🏆

Lovely images, Lory, but I agree with others, the rich tones of the wood stand out.

Being an old vintage camera you feel it should be shown as black & white but the colour image is my favourite with the beautiful woodwork and the lens brass work. Well captured and framed.

I wonder if this is Harry Burton's kit? He was Howard Carter's photographer. If so, worth mentioning that he set up his dark room in one of the empty tombs. Imagine the dust! Yet he managed to produce impeccable plates and prints. Fascinating to see this, thanks.

Now, those were 'proper' cameras in those days! A fine still-life set-up and capture, Lory, and three good versions here, but think I go for the lead as my fave for its lovely warm tones 👍

Thank you very much Moira for the very interesting comment, as for the pic, the kit belongs to the Schiapparelli's campaigns in Egypt and the photographer in charge for the shooting was Francesco Ballerini followed by Virginio Rosa, Michele Pizzio (a priest) and Giovanni Marro. There were at least three cameras , equipped with various accessories. Another upload will follow😃
