Hi Claudio. Youve been here for a while, and this is your first upload for Critique, so I think you know whats involved.

This is a lovely scene. Your settings look good, the the image itself has a lot to look at.

It has soft, pastel colours, and looks almost like a water-colour. I dont know if youve done some post processing to achieve this effect, or if its from the camera.

I would suggest some tweaking to get more contrast into the image, and ensure that blacks are = black; this will give it more "weight", and the colours will appear richer, more dense.

Ive tried this in the mod. In addition to contrast, colour and exposure alterations, I have also used a warmer white balance overall.

Regards

Willie

The content and composition are excellent, the tones are not just a bit pastel, they are a lot pastel resulting in a flat looking image. You must have done some processing although the D90 is now a rather old camera and I'm not sure what it's colour gamut is. I would be looking for more contrast and punch here.

And welcoem from me, too.

I suspect rather a lot of processing here: I'm not sure what, but HDR is possible, along with some sort of smoothing, perhaps.

The result is that it looks like an illustration from a book of fairytales - which may be what you intended. Can yo utell us what you did, please, and upload an unprocessed version, so we can see whare you started from?

I'm thinking this may be soem sort of composite image, with sky, distance and town from separate exposures.

The composition is pleasing, and there's an overall dreamlike feel to the picture. I could see this selling as a postcard, if hte place is real (and not a composite!)

Thank you for the extra information.

Was there anything which you were not pleased with? Any particular aspect that you wanted views on?
