Campo San Silvestro

By GwailoAngMo
This is one of my favourite parts of Venice since our very first trip way back in nineteen quifty qua. You find it either with intent or by mistake after taking a wrong turning. I wonder what it was like when Venice was more heavily populated. Today it is an oasis of calm, a stone's thew away from the masses, ignorant of its existence, on the Rialto bridge or along the Ruga Vecchia S. Giovanni.

I like the mono version a lot.

I remember reading a piece about living on Venice and the writer explained that even the locals can occasionally get lost.
Great images. I am thinking the color version shows up the detail a bit more but that is just my opinion.
