Can't wait for Summer....

By stupot
This is a Picture of a Picture from my Room. I have been experimenting with the 'Focus Points' on the A99. Camera set to 3500 Tungsten. AF Single, and set to Aperture Priority. -a little on exposure.

Any comment would be appreciated. Thanks & regards Stu.....Oh, and a Happy New Year....Grin

Taking pictures of paintings is extremely difficult (trust me I know from my own failures) so you have done extremely well here. It does need rotating to get the waterline level though.

Little squint in the shot but perhaps the painting is too. Still a good shot.

Thank you Lynne! Didn't notice the water was 'wonky' Straightened it in the original, and it makes a huge difference.

Who's the artist Stu? Only... I have an almost identical one on my wall - identical in that I'm sure it could have been painted by the same artist! The trees, the water, everything! Grin Mine is an oil on canvas by I Cafieri.

We have good taste,Grin and by coincidence it IS by the same artist, and also oil on canvas. You have a good eye,,,or is it that I have taken a good picture....Let you be the judge of that. Stu.......

Lovely painting and apart from straightening the waterline as Lynne mentioned, beautifully captured. Have a great 2013 and look forward to viewing many more of your images.

I think that's how the painting is supposed to be, as in the almost identical painting I have the waterline isn't straight either.
