A lovely sunny day on the Stoke Bruerne Canal.
I thought Wharf Cottage made an ideal background for the moored vessels.
Northamptonshire’s first railway was built by the Grand Junction Canal Co to join the completed canal at Blisworth with that at Stoke Bruerne Bottom Lock whilst the locks and tunnels were under construction. It opened in 1801, prior to which goods were taken over the hill by carts.
With grateful thanks to Ju and Lillian for their UAs and all of your votes and comments on the Alhambra Palace
