This image was taken at Blist Hill Victorian Town in Shropshire. It was awarded 2nd place in a recent Open Competition run by my local club. The image shows how candles were made in the time of Queen Victoria. In this demonstration the man used modern wax, but the original material would have been animal tallow which apparently smelled a bit like vomit (nice)
