Candles in the Duomo

By GwailoAngMo
Inside the Duomo in Florence I saw these candles and had to snap them. Back in 2004, trying to get a photo without shake, even with Canon's effective image stabilisation turned on was hard going.

How things have changed since with advances in digital technology. Would/could modern cameras capture this in the same way?

This photo of votive candles was tough to take. I positioned myself, held the camera as best I could, drew in a deep breath, and this was the one and only effort.

I love the colour for the warmth, but the black and white version pleases me too.
