Canterbury Sail's

By lifesnapper
Hi all, and once again, thank you so much for your interest in my 'Anti Cat' Image, successfully identified by Dave (WhiteRose1) as 'Coleus Canina', commonly known as 'Scaredy Cat Plant'.
Today's images are from the little Boat trip that can be had in the Heart of Canterbury. It's both fun and informative, and well worth doing. And they don't collect your Money 'til after the trip, and if you didn't like it, you don't pay. If only all things where like thatSmile
The final two images are more of a silly Sunday thing, which I'll call 'DUCK!' as the Bridges that you Sail under are very lowSmile Obviously my Camera wasn't set for the last shot, but I just had to grab a quick one anyway. Smile

All the best to all,

John Smile

What fun! I didn't know you could do this in Canterbury. My favourite definitely V7, for the wonky angle.

I remember that scene in Canterbury from many years back when we used to make overnight stops on the way to France. But I never knew the stream was navigable: looks as if it is, but only just!
These are really nicely recorded. And V8 is an absolute MUST!!!!!

I will one day, take that trip John! I have eaten in that pub though, very nice too! V1's my fave because it includes the 'Ducking Stool'
A ducking stool was a form of punishment and also a way of testing if someone was a witch. The person was strapped into the chair, which was then submerged under the water. If the person was a witch, she would survive, and she would be killed. If she wasn't a witch, then she would drown, but at least her name was cleared ...

The secret Canterbury, John. Never heard of this...mucking about on the river in the middle of the city!
Mind your heads in v8!

Looks like a nice boat ride and I hope you paid - you did get some good images. Favorites are 6 and especially 8 for the motion and the spontaneity of the shot.
