Canyon moonset

By mlseawell
Another moment from my "True Desert" series showing our recent trip to the Grande Escalante over the Labor Day weekend. It was by chance we were present as the moon sunk into the western sky above the canyons. We finished packing earlier than expected and she who must be obeyed gave the nod to return to Long Canyon instead of straight back to northern Utah five hours away. We wanted to explore a possible trail for our next trip and low and behold there she was in all her glory in the morning sky. Moments like these can only be found in the wild of the land...canyon moonset.
