Caribbean Daybreak

By martinl
Another from our recent Caribbean Cruise, and a lovely sunrise whilst on the way to the Bahamas (soz!!)

Had the camera set up on a gorillapod gripped to a rail over looking the rear of the ship to get this which is a landscape stitch of 2 shots to get the swimming pool in to the shot as well as the sunrise itself (never done this before!)

It cannot be easy finding foreground interest for a sunset when you are on a boat but you have managed it and created a first class image Martin.

I like your composition. When I've tried shots from the stern of a cruise ship the water has been discoloured by pollution from the ship! Perhaps I need to go on a more expensive cruise Grin

This is wonderful, Martin. Terrific exposure, glorious detail of the ship and its passengers, and a cracking sunset. I love it.

Thanks all. Glad you like.
Very nice Martin. Putting two pictures together into a sort of vertical panorama is something I do quite often and can be very helpful with composition I find. Also lets you get a square-ish format without cropping.
