The sand banks of the Luangwa River are high, ideal nesting location for Carmine Bee Eaters. These have been on my hit list for some time!! Very difficult to approach and photograph, here a frenzy of activity !!!
Impressive image Ron.
Lovely shot with tons of action. Bee eaters must be amongst the beautiful birds in the world and I always love watching them
All that movement Ron and flashes of colours
can only image the sounds of these
I can see how hard these must have been to get. Almost the same colours as the red banks. So many of them. I have only ever seen a pair!
Somehow I knew this would be yours Ron, like the movment and colours in this
Such a frenzy of activity - these are beautiful birds and to capture their coming and going takes a certain skill. Love this action shot!
What an unusual but great photo !! I Love it
A lovely image Ron...lots going on & to look at.
Very nice to pick out the flashes of colour against the sandy b/g. Great movement.
I'm amazed at the amount of action you've manged to capture here Ron. I've only ever seen this before as video or film on TV.
You lucky beggar, you obviously had some good guide while you were there Ron, very envious, but not in a nasty way.
Such a graceful image.
Colourful flashes of movement, Ron.
Frenzy captured artfully - these are such beautifully plumaged birds!
what a buzz - as hectic as a big human city but the traffic seems more organized.
a fantastic shot!
You all got the buzz !! Thank you
