Surrounded by their lives. This is a wonderful double portrait - we see the closeness, and we also see two very different individuals. It's the different angles of the faces, the child looking up in curiosity. And we're looking into their world with all its contrasts and contradictions.
I love the processing, can't quite decide about the frame. It's a bit too dominating - it creates a window to view them though but that in turn implies a barrier between us and them. Nevertheless my picture of the day.

This is a touching and unusual portrait, made even more so by seeing them in their surroundings. The treatment seems appropriate. I have mixed feeling about the frame, I think it would be much more intimate without it.
