A beautiful spring time image, Pam, and with the wide aperture at 135mm. you have managed to focus selectively, leaving those blooms in the immediate f/g and beyond "soft".
Like this effect so much and I might try to copy this approach come the spring.
The letter box format also adds to the overall effect so nicely.

I luv this one Pam, so pleasing on the eye, the colours are wonderful, and you have picked the perfect focus point and used the dof to great effect, a stunner.

I used to aim to get all the flowers sharp in this type of image
until a camera club judge said try to get one flower really sharp.
You have succeeded here in being selective.
