Cascades de l'Hérisson remix

By joolsb
Occasionally, I get reminded of one of my earlier photographs, go to take a look and immediately wonder what the hell I was thinking about when I processed it. Although the version posted earlier was quite faithful to the tranny, it seemed to be lacking something so I decided to have another bash at it....

This time round, I went for a lighter touch, teased out some of the tones and made the blues rather less magenta and a bit more cyan. It's also been cropped as per suggestions made previously.

Very well composed. I like the abstract feel and the colours.

Worth a visit back in the Autumn, for those reflected colours Julian. This illustrates the potential. Ron.

Yes, I think it is a step up on the earlier version - though that was pretty good, too! I like the closer in view, it seems to concentrate more on the flow, force and light in the water - more water, if you will. The colours are subjective and both work equally well for me. But it is the firm diagonal composition that really sells it to me. Top image, Julian! Carol

I didn't think there was anything wrong with the old version to be honest. Only thing I found slightly distracting was the small clump of grass at the top left. But both are super images. Nothing wrong with either. Good stuff.
