In the mod I used the shadows/highlight tool to lighten the shadows. I then did a little skin healing. A diffuse glow was added next and the important features kept sharp using the high pass filter on a different layer.
I selected the teeth and the whites of the eyes and reduced the amount of yellow, whilst increasing the lightness. This was done using curves.
I selected the lips and increased the colour and changed the hue. I used the same layer mask on a curves layer and increased the contrast of the lips.
I sharpened and saved to web.
It's a bit overdone but shows another interpretation of the image.
It may have helped the shadow areas if a reflector had been placed to the right of the model so soft light could be bounced back into the shadows and given more form to the model.

I was trying out a tutorial on giving the model a glowing skin condition so I thought I'd try it out
It's not really my taste either but I do like to try these things with mods to see what happens. It's also a way for me to learn PS a bit better.
