In the mod I used the shadows/highlight tool to lighten the shadows. I then did a little skin healing. A diffuse glow was added next and the important features kept sharp using the high pass filter on a different layer.

I selected the teeth and the whites of the eyes and reduced the amount of yellow, whilst increasing the lightness. This was done using curves.

I selected the lips and increased the colour and changed the hue. I used the same layer mask on a curves layer and increased the contrast of the lips.

I sharpened and saved to web.

It's a bit overdone but shows another interpretation of the image.

It may have helped the shadow areas if a reflector had been placed to the right of the model so soft light could be bounced back into the shadows and given more form to the model.

Hi Alan, thank you so much for your mod, its not quite to my taste, although you have improved some aspects. I do agree with your comments however regarding using a reflector to bounce back etc.

I was trying out a tutorial on giving the model a glowing skin condition so I thought I'd try it outSmile It's not really my taste either but I do like to try these things with mods to see what happens. It's also a way for me to learn PS a bit better.

Rgds, Alan.
