Cast some shadow

By javam
A second upload from Sunday mornings 'how early!' trip to Malham with Paul & Fran.

As there was no cloud the light became harsh pretty quickly and this was a bit past prime time so I am going mono. The colour is in the versions.

Thanks for looking.

Excellent shot with bags of texture and tone. The monochrome treatment lends itself really well to the high degree of detail between the light and shadow areas.

I think I prefer the mono because of the very interesting rock structure. The colours has also its charm of course.

Thanks for your comments all.

Have a few with that in Paul, but all after the light turned harsh as I was facing the other way most of the time!

Just realised the title seems very weak without knowing the unmentioned thought process in my head! It is not much better once you do know, but I was thinking 'as he faced the sun...'

Thanks again.
