Castle Howard Gardens 2

By Ericsamson
Another image taken in the gardens of Castle Howard. Given my extensive horticultural knowledge I am able to say with confidence that in the foreground we have ... some blue flowers ... some white flowers ... some leaves ... and some other bits and bobs. A little further back there is some grass ... and in the distance a hedge, a rather nice arch ... and some shade ... so Saturday Shadows it is then. 🥴

Many thanks for the very kind responses to the Film Friday images of my modest country retreat. In a few moments time I shall be wandering down to the lake to carry out the monthly newt audit. (Dave - aka Bertie aka bluesandtwos - knows exactly what I mean and I am rather hoping that he will allow Jeeves to provide some much needed assistance.)

NB As regards the Film Friday images I must make it clear that the only processing I carry out is courtesy of Affinity software. I send the films off to be developed and they are then emailed to me as jpegs. My only experience of using a dark room involves having a lie down in the blacked out butler's pantry of Joystick Towers after a heavy session on the dessert sherry. 🍷 😵‍💫 I leave the clever stuff to that nice Mr Dudler and those who know what they are doing. I hope this clarifies matters. 🧐

Yours, demonstrating that ignorance is indeed bliss, G. 🙃

I recognize the blue and white flowers, as I have seen before, but do not have a clue what they are, but they have been well photographed, and presented.

Your identification of the above-illustrated and aforementioned flowers is top hole 👍, spot on 👍👍; in fact it is absolutely spiffing 👍👍👍. Even better than mine, in fact 😇

Is there a dire shortage of available building plots? Why else are these blue flowers (I bow to your superior knowledge of all things floral, and borrow your technical term) built in high-rise format, instead of the more family-friendly style of semi-detached and detached? You'd never catch me living on the top petals of that construction!
