Dark and slightly disturbing, but wonderful at the same time.

Clever work ....
But it upsets me that you dont put your obvious talent to make not such disturbing (to me) images

presses every one of my utmost pleasure buttons. =)

there are so many things i can say about this that i have summed it up with my user award - like "perfect" it can all be said using a single element.

dark, sombre, sexy, sinister and gosh i so wish i had created this myself =)

if this doesn't have 100+ votes and fill each award bar by the end of the day it will prove there is no support and justice for obvious true creative talent.

love forever my darling c

the exposure round the eyes is perfect and the overall image quite breathtaking...I gave up worrying about the state of mind required to produce your SP`s...your sheer creativity far outweighs any darkness you and respect ...stuart,,,have a truckload of votes (due to a typo represented as one)

Very frightening
exposure - funny thing about the light in this is that this was taken in full sun. i originally planned to have this be very bright and use the slashes and bloody nose on a high key image. but when i darkened the image, the feel was actually closer to the meaning involved: the damage we do to ourselves and how we try to hide from that fact. final and most important confession to self...full disclosure. not for the faint of heart. =)

thanks, guys. =)

i can relate to this and the meaning of it so much in my own equivelent life. for a long time i have hidden from myself and hidden myself from others and caused more harm than good. finally i have been brave enough lately to face the fear, step out into the light and take on the suffering and finally make it stop Grin xXx

exactly. it's the only way. takes alot of blood, sweat and tears but it's so worth it. =)

and thanks again - happy birthday to meeeee!!!!!! =)

(i love it, thanks - i'm gonna have two birthdays every year from now on! =)

we all suffer many in silence and taking the first step is always the hardest

2 Nov 2010 10:22PM
yes, I know. But suffering in silence means being alone and watching life pass you by - a stupid waste of time when just a word or two to another human being can be the beginning of a better life.

Thanks for looking and commenting, Di. =)

I have heard it said that photography is a means of expressing yourself, and I see an example of that here !!
Powerful stuff.
Thank you, Mick. =)

This is a stunningly intruiging image, it manages to both disturb and thrill at the same time, while part of me wants to look away another part of me wants to fall deeper into the shot, like its beckoning me to join it, not many images can evoke that sort of reaction, this is superb

I bow to your imagination - an amazing image - dark and intriguing. Spousal abuse was the first thought that entered my mind.......

This is such a powerful image - It sums up so many feelings and emotions - the damage we do to ourselves, the damage others do to us. And yet it so beautiful too. Now and again we come across an image which which reaches into our souls - and this one reaches deep into mine.

Happy New Year to you.
