Welcome back, havent seen you around for a while.

This is quite decent. Very shallow depth of field prevents you from getting both eyes sharp at f/1.8, but it can be sharpened a little more.

A little more light, - which would have meant a slower shutter or a higher ISO could help too, but best to increase exposure carefully in post processing, especially on the left eye.

Ive uploaded a mod with this done, a little sharpening, and slightly warmer overall tone.

Good work

Your 50mm lens allows you to shoot in very low light - but working at full aperture, you need to focus very, very precisely - you have only one or two millimetres of sharpness at that sort of focus distance. With any portrait, human or animal, focus needs to be on at least one of the eyes, so you need to select a focus spot and place it over the eye, focus, and shoot immediately. Don't delay at all.

The idea here is great: it's worth repeating the shot, in brighter light, and possibly with a slightly smaller aperture - maybe f/4 or f/5.6. Expect to take 20 pictures to get one that is sharp exactly where you want it. And practice, practice, practice.
