Cawdor Castle

By johnriley1uk
Cawdor was just five minutes drive away from our holiday cottage. We chose to visit somewhere close on our first day in Scotland as we'd had enough travelling with our 6.5 hour journey to get there. Cawdor was a pleasant place indeed to spend most of the day.

Parts of the castle were open to viewing, but not much compared to the overall size.

Love those turrets, and the way you've framed the castle with the trees.
