Celluloid Dresser Set

By Wireworkzzz
Celluloid was actually the trade name given to a type of plastic material invented in the mid 1800's. They stopped producing celluloid items around 1940 These belonged to my grandmother and are approximately 120 years old. The opal necklace also belonged to my grandmother.
A big thank you to Vincent Christopher for the User Award for "Making an Omelette". Thank you also to all who made comments as I do like to hear peoples opinions. Just as importantly, thank you to all who voted.

Lovely still life, Rae. I believe that celluloid was used as a solution for the first "synthetic" billiard balls. It was also used as fhe original material for movie film with one problem....in that form, it was highly flammable.
