A ''normal'' shot from you Alan,
so a ''normal'' comment from me.
Good contrasting colours.
Super shot.
Although perhaps a line up of leggy blondes sitting
on the benches might have added to the superness !!
Mick.

Not exactly, though there is a very slight slope and nothing seems to be parallel to anything else.
My, what an eagle-eyed fellow you are, Cliff.

Ah yes, been there, done that... Nothing in that building is straight!
You have concentrated on the tree shadows, get there at the right time of day and the benches cast fabulous shadows too.

A subject I have used in the past, with entirely different results (vive la différence!) I like your use of the letterbox format, excluding thereby the uncompromising ugliness of the Centre for Life itself.
Regards
Bill

We walk through the CfL complex every week. The research centre building is resplendently anonymous concrete; the adventurous architecture of the other building makes it inevitable, I suppose, that it is given over to an indoor theme park. When this building was under construction we watched with excitement as its beautiful wooden skeleton was installed, anticipating it being transformed into a gigantic inverted clinker-built rowing boat. We were disappointed when the metal cladding was added as the wood can now only be seen from inside.

Has the flavour and colours of the Med, that could be an olive tree between the benches, and perfect shadows for Saturday.

Striking colours, lovely shadows for today, well composed, interesting reflections!
An excellent, I'd say, Alan!

Works very well, Alan. The formal composition softened by the shadow detail.

His 'n' her benches for after a disagreement, the tree providing a barrier, but not so solid that it cannot easily be overcome if they decide to talk again...

Nice one, Alan.

I wonder what this one looks like fuzzy?
