Beautiful stuff, and photography, Richard. Where would we be without these skills to fall back on. EVERYTHING is nowadays done by 3D modelling ! A friend of mine just printed a Xebec stern, with all the complicated carving bits very neatly and perfectly cut out for me, in 15 minutes !! I was figuring out how to mark the Rosewood pieces, to try and do this by hand. My nose is distinctly out of joint !! (Nevertheless, I am still going to do it manually ) Regards Martin

Great set Richard.
I tried something like this a number of years back but didn't manage to get half as many sparks as you did. V6 is a lovely abstract image.

I can appreciate the difficulty in capturing this - I tried it but didn't have enough light so failed miserably. Very well done Richard.

A great set of images Richard, As a lad I used to watch the local smithy shoeing horses on the farm where my mother worked, bring's back alot of good memoriesGrinGrinGrinGrin

A fantastic set of images perfectly captured Richard, I have never seen anyone make chains but I do love to watch a blacksmith at work. You have captured the sparks well too.
