Superb shot and you must consider how very fortunate you are as I have seen one Butterfly all year and it settled on a rose leaf with black spot and does not make a very attractive shot.

You must go round attracting all the butterflies to you Ed, like a pied piper of the insect world, either that or you stole my smelly stuff the last time we were out. - gary

Thanks for the information Nigel much appreciated, the next available opportunity when the weather is fine and I'll be over to Swelshill again. Don't worry Robin I'll have plenty to upload once the insect season is over, I'll be photographing birds and animals and fungi, plus I have plenty of images of landscapes and flowers from my garden and wild ones on my hard drive!Wink

Excellent ed!
These are more common here at the moment than the common ones.
In my neighbour's meadow there are some fresh scabious that managed to survive, they ate all there!
