Charming caracal...

Thanks for your clicks, comments & votes to my previous image for which I'm most appreciative. I would especially like to thank Jeff(Kojack), Dave(HobbitDave) & Phil(OverthehillPhil) for their treasured UAs.

I hope you may like my images of the Caracal, (also called a Desert Lynx) which was taken at WHF, Big Cat Sanctuary in Smarden, Kent some years ago with Lillian & friends.

Caracals have strong hind legs & can leap 10 feet into the air with ease to catch flying birds.. Their large ears with long black tufts of hair on top give them excellent hearing. They are found in woodland & savannah across most of Africa, Middle East, & parts of India.
