Chase

By Madoldie
Been out this morning with the boys, followed you're advice used the shutter priority and had a go with the auto focus function.
The only thing that I have done to this photograph in photosop is to crop it to remove some background distractions and tried to reduce some noise.
All the best,
Mat

I think you've nailed it, this is good! There's a really nice balance and contrast between the two faces, and loads of energy and involvement.

Just one question, you mention having cropped. If there was any more space at the bottom could you upload the original please? My only quibble with this is that I'd like just a bit more depth there. The foreground dog's hind legs are hidden in the grass, but we know they are there so cropping tightly has almost the same effect as cutting visible feet off.

If there are distractions in the grass it might be possible to get rid of them rather than crop so tightly?

Hi Moira, just getting the original, I didn't crop any of the foreground area, as he was running so quick, it all happened rather fast, anyway will upload soon for you to look at.
Thanks for taking the time,
Mat

Thanks for adding the original, your crop makes sense. Pity there isn't a bit more space at the bottom, but I'd be well pleased with this.

I agree with Moira - this is really good.

In an ideal world, you'd have had the camera a couple of inches higher, looking down more - to include the feet, and exclude the grey strip at the top.

But this is very good indeed.
