A good contrasty mono image that tells a story. Seeing this as a thumbnail I wanted to vote on it!
Some people may like to see more shadow detail but the dark shadows are part of the appeal and add to the mood, characteristic of restaurants at night so I'd leave them as they are.
It's exposed well, and converted very nicely so although we like to see the colour original for mono conversions in the Critique Gallery I don't mind not seeing it here.
We also like to see the exif data as that can help with suggestions about capture technique but you've done fine here, unless there's anything you're unhappy about.

I've done two mods.
The first to remove the electric cable at the bottom left. Once seen it is annoying and can divert attention from the two mwn albeit a small distraction.
The second mod just crops in cloer to conncentrate on the two people and their activity. I think there's still enough of their environment to tel the story.

I agree with Keith's comments all the way. I'd vote for this if I could, as it's a delightful and competently-shot piece of reality.

The settings don't matter, because they obviously worked - there are no technical issues getting between the picture and the viewer: sharp, properly exposed. It would be nice to know the EXIF data, and maybe useful to others wanting to do the same sort of shot, but I'm fine with this as posted.

I really like Guy's (drummerdelight's) mod - it's the crop I thought of straight away, removing unnecessary background, and going in tight on the subject.

Excellent work.

I agree with Keith and John, Ed, this is well taken, and I think the single light in the corner highlights the two men and what is going on very nicely, leaving the rest of the scene in shadow. This works well.

You say these are two waiters, but to me it looks like a waiter and a customer paying for his meal. It is of little consequence, however.

Drummerdelight (Guy) has given my favourite modification, so I have used that to remove a few distractions, something purely cosmetic, although the items act as distractions to me. I think it gives a cleaner finish to the image. The items are the numbers and letters in the front of the table, something light-coloured directly behind the man on the left's head, and a white pot on the shelf to the left of the waiter's head.

Guy's mod is number 3, my mod is number 4, so you can flip between the two and see the difference.

Thank you all for your comments. I appreciate them, and see what you mean after looking at the modifications. And I agree with each Mod. SmileSmileSmile I attached the original but unfortunately lost all metadata, I think it was due to my camera settings. I even tried looking at photos around this one and all was lost on everyone. ???Sad

This is good. The original colour also works well with a few minor tweaks.

Tried colour and mono mods.

Camera setting wont cause loss of metadata. May be how you saved it (save for WEB can lose them)

I see what you mean, it does look like a customer paying the bill. In actual it was one water closing out and getting off, while the other was doing a bill for a customer.GrinGrin
