Cherry Tree Cottage Northacre

By oldgreyheron
The UK National Gardens Scheme charity encourages garden owners to open their gardens to the public for one or more days a year. We were on our way to see two Northacre gardens when we came across yesterday's Caston church flower festival.

When we arrived at nearby Northacre we had two garden to visit. The first was Cherry Tree Cottage described as follows on the NGS website:

"Plantsman's cottage garden which has evolved over a period of 10 years, to the front are grass walkways leading through the beautifully maintained shrub & herbaceous borders with the occasional topiary giving structure and interest. A simple evolving knot garden with sundial can be found at its centre. To the rear is a small gravelled garden planted with perennials, shrubs & rock plants."

Teresa & Geoff Mayes are to be commended for their efforts, the wonderful garden, and the great visitor experience (including the teas and home made cakes!)

Please look through the small stream of images.

V4 for me, love the way the drive leads you through the image and adds a contrasting texture.

Beautifully thought our gardens and use of plants.
I love the idea of the split path with plants to separate in V4.
All four images so well taken.
