Found this whilst looking through some old photo's, and changed it into black and white, and used selective colouring.
I took this at Kew Gardens whilst on a School trip. We were all meant to be looking at the giant Lily Pads, but I wandered off to take a photo of the Chili's!

Excellent use of selective colour, emphasises the hot chili nicely. One small suggestion would be to get a bit more contrast in to the mono conversion. A general guideline is to get the blacks black and the whites white - without letting it 'block' or 'burn' out. It adds more punch to an image.
Great idea though!
