Chillingham Castle Tea Room

By johnriley1uk
One of the delights of the castle is the Tea Room. The setting is superb, the roaring log fire adding its own ambience as well as a toasty spot to sit. The food is great, even the coffee is good, much better than the usual thin excuse for coffee that seems to inhabit many cafes. A unique experience and a chance to marvel at the huge antlers on the walls as well.

Lovely ambience but wouldn’t like to sit close to the fire….far too hot.

Now that is what I would call an open fire. Looks an Olde Worlde Tearoom, but I would not mind having a coffee there. Well captured considering the low lighting available.
