Chinese Fishing Nets, Cochin

These nets were introduced by the Chinese Emperor Zheng He in the fourteenth century and are so effective that they are still used daily in Cochin. There are many of them along the shoreline.

wonderful invention & nicely captured activities.......have seen some of these nets silhouetted against the rising & setting sun & they look awesome. Come October, I will be in Kochi to see them myself. Regards. Smile
