Christmas Cactus I

By Cookie_Monster
I loved how delicate the flowers came out on the shot but unfortunately the background came out with a little grey hint. So I played around with it for a bit but was never really happy. Tried textures and fill colours but everything seemed to overwhelm the flowers.
Any advise very much appreciated.
Thanks for looking.

Personally I like the subtle tones you have achieved. I might possibly try to bring it up a bit to make it a little whiter, but I do like the pink blossoms against that grey.

Beautiful flower got a lot going for it. You could get closer to what you wanted by adjusting a few settings like exposure, levels etc. I had a play in Photoshop, if you enabled mods I could upload it.Smile

A very hard to do right flower----but you have done well capturing all the planes and angles!

The mod was done mostly in camera raw tweaking the highlights, whites etc. You have a great camera and lens, shooting in Raw will give a lot more control in processing.
Thanks for that. Your version is exactly how I wanted it to look! Smile
