Hope the rest of your Christmas day was as successful
Many years ago when the new regime of mixed bins and recycling came in, a friend's wife, wishing to do everything by the book, left some batteries by the bins separately to be collected
Needless to say the dustmen emptied the bins but left the batteries behind
So she contacted the council to report this
Later in the day the bin lorry reappeared
The doorbell rang and she opened the door to a large burly guy wearing very heavy protective gloves
She then duly dropped two AA batteries into his gloves
