Chubby Pillar

By tonyguitar
Kids noticed this one on the gravel. Took some images and then put him back in the 'green' where birds were less likely to spot him. Hope Chubby makes it. I wonder if his tufts will grow fuller. Not much chance of finding him again.

Notice how this Canon 70 - 300 lens seems to focus forward of the face. Will focus mid section in future and get more included in 'the zone'. Do you macro - pros focus a little deep to get more included? TG

Natures incredible, that something like this could fly away one day. Excellent spot by the kids and capture by you.

He's a greedy little critter by the looks of him and you were very kind to rescue him from a grizzly fate on the ground; and to have his portrait taken too - how lucky is that.Grin

Well thanks. Never thought this morbidly obese salad eater would garner any attention. Learned that this lens focuses short in macro mode. That's a help too. TG
