Church Organ

By Gavin_Duxbury
The magnificent organ pipes and keyboard of Hallgrímskirkja Church designed and constructed by the German organ builder Johannes Klais of Bonn. Standing tall at an impressive 15m and weighing a remarkable 25 ton. The keyboard and pedals are remote form the main pipes, something I have not seen before.

The Organist came to start playing as there was a service imminent.

I recognized the organ straight away, and a stroke of fortune to get the organist in situ, Gavin. Nicely done.

Beautifully exposed including the essential organist and you dare someone to modify this? With respect, I would not touch this. TG

Wonderful capture with the organist in position. Just a pity you couldn't get the top of the centre pipe in the capture.
