Cinema

By bliba
as everywhere in Europe the shops are dying, even the small cinemas die. An Italian told me about this cinema in Sirolo.
It was always well visited there everybody met ... young and old ..... even a balcony it was in the cinema, there sat the mayor with his family and all the important people of the place ...... we sat down, the working people on wooden benches.....it was nice.

The cinema reminded me of the movie Cinema Paradiso
One of my favorite movies .. very worth seeing

thanks for looking

oliver

Yes, part of a way of life that's dying. Who needs a cinema when they've got a mobile phone? (Or shops when there's Tesco online...)
Who needs to know that there's a world outside their own home?

A sad tale, it's happenng on a grand scale though I think most people consider it's only a local issue and don't realise it's the same in different countries as they (we) have a more romantic notion of 'other places'.

A fine composition and capture, Oliver, interesting write-up too 👍 Sad to see buildings fall into disrepair like this, but they do make good subjects 🙂

Great times and buildings had in there ! Sad itís had itís Day with Netflix and all , I hope live theatre prevails as it has survived for more than 2000 years . Well captured Oliver ,
The song from Cinema Paradiso is a wonderful one , done by so many people ..one of my favourite versions being done by Chris Botti.
Cheers
