You have a good eye Susie. Lots of people would not give this a second look. I like the diagonal shape of the newer building which contrasts well with the older one. Simple lines and shapes, and the inclusion of the tree was inspirational.

Couldn't agree more with Phil here - the "softness" of the tree contrasts so well with the "hardness" of the buildings and makes the shot (for me anyway).
Good vision Susie.

Hi Susie - hope all is going good with your studies. I find this interesting to a point but tend to disagree with the above comments - for me it needs something else or something less. Something that well ...... ummm.. can't put my finger on it - just something! Smile

Thank you, Bernie - glad you like it ...

Hey Steve - nice to see you; all's well, but exams and final portfolio submissions are imminent, so no rest for the wicked and all that! Appreciate your considered feedback - let me know if that elusive 'certain something more or less' springs to mind! lol Will drop you a note sometime soon - thanks for swinging by ...

I like this shot a lot Susie. The angular positioning of the camera adds a lot of drama. Technically it is also very good with good detail in the buildings and the sky - a difficult contrast to manage in your exposure settings. But most of all, the contrast between the old and new architecture in the buildings and the natural architecture of the tree is really nice. Well done. John

I find this a really fresh approach to architectural photography Susie. Great angles, good use of space and the tree caps it off really well.
