Clare

By Irishkate
While I'm doing portraits another of my daughter taken at Pittenweem in East Neuk of Fife - she and Layla are on their way back to Australia after a wonderful six weeks with us.
I always have to smile at the interest a sexy girl image gains
as with yesterday's Elspeth (with tattoo)!.
At least it did get plenty votes not just viewings and many thanks
also to Patty, Colleen, Billy, Robert (Jeddahknight111) and PhillGfor their much appreciated User Awards.

Good to have your family around you, Kate - shame it is coming to an end for now.
Still as beautiful as ever.

thanks for your query on my today's upload, Kate..
- In today's images, no lighting effects were used..
- It was in the morning.. so V1 is the natural sunlight as was falling.. as is the case with V4.. I used duetones in Photoshop.. V1 - First applied duotones (3 blacks, 1 purple).. and then on the saved JPG image, again applied dutones (1 yellow, 1 black..)..
- V2 and V3 there was no sunlight as they were in shade.. V2 is in fact a deep-pink flower, which I converted to mono.. and applied tones in duotones..

Or otherwise I also use (as in earlier images) lighting effects in Photoshop to apply vignette, highlight the subject more.. or also, can move the light away, to give some other kind of visual effect ( as in V4 in yesterday.. )..

have a nice day..

Well posed and captured portrait, Kate. Empathy/connection with the sitter always adds that bit extra. I bet she's got lovely eyes too.

I like her stylish posing and the way you captured it, natural and beautiful, Kate. Sad to part from those you love, but it is inevitable most of the time.

This is a really lovely portrait of Clare - it must be sad to see her and Layla go back to Australia but you've had a wonderful time and that's what counts.

Natural shot. I would think that the neckline coming down over her shoulder on the near side, without seeing her arm could suggest she has one arm! But I know she doesnt. She does the flowers in OZ if I remember right?

It's always sad when our children have to leave. Know exactly how you must be feeling. You have this beautiful and very natural portrait of her. I'd use it for my screensaver for a while.
