Good afternoon.
This is yet another image from my recent trip to America.
We took in 4 states in 8 nights - Nevada, Arizona, Utah and California.
This is from our second visit to Horseshoe Bend, which officially is in Glen Canyon, not Grand Canyon, but is one of the iconic photographic locations.
The day had been extremely hot and windy, with thunder and lightning storms and torrential downpours.
We survived all that and eventually arrived here in the calm and somewhat cooler evening air.
This is truly a magical place, which does have its perils as you cannot always see what you are standing above. As the entire cliff face is sandstone, which has weathered over the millennia it has been here, there are bound to be times where you are literally an accident waiting to happen. Our guide, Bob, was great at reminding us to check before walking close to the edge.
As always, I started off VERY wary, but as my desire for the best spot and the best shot grew, I edged ever closer to the brink. My tripod got close 😜
Thank you for looking, I welcome your comments.
