Cloud formations

And now the last one from the theme of small trains....... A theme that seems to have been well received.
As this is the last upload until the New Year, so I will wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Here's hoping 2019 brings plenty of photographic opportunities for everybody.

I head back to where I started in November 2015, the second half of the week swapped from the Ffestiniog to the Welsh Highland Railway but what a change, the week began with sun and record breaking temperatures, by the end of the week there was flooding. Very typical for Snowdonia I suppose.


As the low cloud hangs in the valley above the Afon Glaslyn, Palmerston and Prince add there own cloud as they climb the Nantmor incline


And as always, thank you to those who have taken the time to look, vote, comment and give their awards.

Another brilliant picture of railways in the landscape. The towering heights - misty cliffs and columns of smoke - make for a spectacular composition. The harmonious combination of colours (of both the vegetation and the train) is wonderful!
