Whilst walking to my camera dealer today in Edinburgh, I came across a group of protesters at a BP petrol station. It seemed very peaceful if somewhat noisy with drums and chanting. There were an enormous amount of police officers on site and at least three police vans. I counted at least another half a dozen people with cameras in addition to myself.

They were protesting against Biofuels and I guess they chose today as I believe the law changes in the UK today to make it compulsory to mix at least 2% of biofuel in with all unleaded and diesel fuel sold, i.e. we'll all be using some element of biofuel from today and this is a step towards the government reaching their biofuel targets. I don't claim to know much about this so I won't pass any comment on the rights or wrongs of it.

I'm pretty certain this girl was about to say something beginning with the letter 'f' but for the life of me I just can't imagine what! ("Fuel!"?)

Sounds like a sledgehammer to crack a nut.
I'm not sure but I think it is illegal to photograph police officers, so perhaps we should comment on the other clown in costume.
Well spotted and captured.
