Coaching

By pamelajean
I was overwhelmed by your generous User Awards on my dicentra, a record number of awards for me.
Thankyou all so much.

Iím going to do a short series of images of this lovely old Bedford coach that belongs to Mervynís Coaches in Winchester.
Mervynís Coaches is a family run business with over 35 years of coaching experience.
This is a 1949 Duple Vista-bodied Bedford OB 29 seater with petrol/benzin engine.
This was taken on a King Alfred Bus Running Day, and I had a lovely ride on it.
It was in the TV series of Foyles War from 1941/42.
68 years old and still going well.

Pamela.

Style, with a comfortable, accommodating look.
And it's the same vintage as me... Wink

Those colours came back into fashion again in the 70s - led by BMC, or whatever they were called at that moment in time. Brown, beige, orange and dark yellows were all the rage (like avocado bathrooms were in the 80s).

All of the above plus your choice of view/crop makes this feel rather threatening to me, like I am about to be run over.

Great frontal shot of this well maintained Bedford Coach. Not an easy capture to get right, due to all of its reflective surfaces, but you managed it really well.
